M1 Garand, tell me more!

Ok guys, I need to figure out what I accually got. I bought this real sweet, clean almost no wear at all! SN 6095675. Trigger assy #6528290-SA. Hammer #SA D5546008. Rec'r #F 6528291 above that Z15C is stamped. Bolt #D28287-12 SA SA1(diamond symbol). Operating Rod #6535382 SA. Barrel has lots of markings/stamps on it, I'll try and show all don't knw if some mean anything: closest to the threaded end is Td. Then SA F6535448 5 56 A227B. Then P M, then what looks like : with a backwards D under the colon. Next the armors mark? A Square wth maybe an anvil wth 3 dots above it inside the square. Then one more M. Can you all give me an specifics such as: year, match rifle, worth, any and all will be appreciated! The stock is clean, not beat up. Inside the parts look like new! I love this rifle!

The rifle was made by Springfield Armory*, one of the last made. The May 56 barrel date is probably close to the date of manufacture.

The square with 3 stars and the eagle is the Defense Acceptance Stamp, which replaced the old inspector's "cartouche" in 1952.

The numbers on the parts are drawing numbers, the master engineering drawings for each part. The letter indicates the size (the actual size of the paper) on which the drawing was made. A "dash number" following indicates a revision. Some of the other numbers and marks are inspector's marks and marks indicating the source of the steel used (in case there was a problem with the steel later).

At that late date, it is very possible that the rifle is original and was never issued, since the Korean War was effectively over.** It probably came through CMP, or possibly the old DCM. You are fortunate.

*The long-closed government rifle factory in Springfield, MA, not the current commercial company.
** Technically the Korean war is still on, the United Nations vs. North Korea, since there has been only an armistice, not a peace treaty.

The last authorized serial number was 6,099,900. You have a very late model M1. Most of the last ones were made into National Match versions from the start, not a rifle that was converted from standard to NM parts.

Anything marked with an "NM" - barrel, operating rod, sights?

The average price for an M1 in this area is $800 for a good one. But I would say that in the conditiion described, $1000 would be reasonable, perhaps $1200.
