M1/SA in 1942

Where was the area being looked over by SA and Ordnance for its new building?

Hi all,
There were two sites that Ordnance and SA were looking at. One was at Holyoke, Mass. The second was at Windsor Locks, CT.

So which one did they pick? And how many places were M1's made?

None!! Ordnance went back to SA. The only two places where M1 Garands were built during WW2 was SA and WIN.
