Following the advice from a previous thread I posted about buying an M1A, I passed on the rifle I was looking at and decided to look for a better deal.

I'm glad I did as I just bought a NIB SA Loaded with black furniture for a decent price. Now I'm on the lookout for some 20 rnd mags.

Can anyone recommend a site that has good prices on quality mags?

Thanks

Congratulations, hope it works out for you.

Now, for the bad news.

Many companies will NOT sell you a high capacity feeding device (AKA hi-cap magazine) cause of where you live. I don't know if Coles is one of them...I called them about two years ago, before a lot of the recent problems, and they were willing to sell me the mags if I provided proof that I was appropriately licensed in this Commonwealth. I don't know if their policy has changed. The last company I could find who would deal with me was Dillon Precision. I had to fax my license to the Sales manager and he approved the sale. But Dillon carries very few magazines as a rule.

If Coles is willing, please post it here. We need to support those companies who are willing to work with us.

Oh, gun shows still carry them.

Good luck!

Tim, I can appreciate your point of view 100%, but we cannot allow the discussion of illegal activities here. Sorry, bud.

Steve Smith...

I have no idea what Tim may have been talking about and I certainly do not want to encourage the discussion of illegal activities. But if it has to do with the ownership of hi-cap magazines in the People's Commonwealth, they are legal to own. You just have to have the proper license. Bummer of a system, but that's the law up here.

FPrice, you're right, you have no idea what he was talking about. That was my goal. Let's leave it as such, ok? Please stay on topic.

I ended up calling Cole Distributing and they will not ship to Massachusetts, even if you have the the proper license. FPrice you are definitely right, it's a bummer of a system.

At this point, I may just pick up one new 20 rnd mag at Four Seasons. Unfortunately though, he's charging $59 for it. I've never found any other dealer with lower prices then Carl, so I'm assuming no one else will have them cheaper.

I guess I'll keep scanning the equipment exchange areas till I find some cheaper.

Thanks everyone.
