I'm looking for a place online to look at bayonets for sale for my AR15. Does anybody know a good website that has bayonets. Which would you recommend?

Go to the various gun auction sites on-line. Go to the AR15.com equipment exchange.
They are very common. I see them all the time.

Or, how about this one ? http://www.cdnninvestments.com/argibaywgree.html
If that isn't the exact one you want, look around that site. I have bought a lot of stuff from them over the years.

The M7, M9 and new M10 bayonet will fit a 14.5" barreled military M4, they won't fit a 16.5" barreled M4 (lug's too far away), they'll fit a regular 20" A2 rifle.

Any M16 variant, in order for the bayonet to fit, must have the same distance between the flash hider and the bayonet lug as the M16A1. This includes the A2, A3, A4, various semiauto clones with 20" barrels, and the older CAR-15 style 16" barrels. M4 carbines, with the 14.5" barrel, will also accept these bayonets.

However, the 16.5" M4-style carbines, have more barrel between the flashider and the lug than the actual M4 does. Therefore, the bayonet will not fit properly.

Honestly, I don't understand the popularity of the M4 style barrel in civilian circles anyway. It doesn't offer anything over a standard barrel, disallows use of the bayonet, and most of us aren't going to be mounting an M203 in any case...

You don't need a reason other than it looks cool.

You also can't make the blanket statement that a bayonet won't fit a civilian M4orgery. I have a Bushmaster that has a 14.?" barrel. The flash suppressor makes the OA barrel Length 16.1" or whatever. I have an aftermarket muzzle brake on mine that looks just like a GI flash suppressor and I can mount a bayonet on it.
In other words, it depends on which M4 you have and what kind of muzzle device you have on the gun. It might work, it might not.

you can find them for no more than 30$.
dont get the new bayonets, they are thick, heavy and ????ty.
I have an M7 bayonet that is thin, nice metal and was unissued. And it fits my M16A2, which is why I bring it on my deployments.

check surplus stores, they should have em.
