I have a buddy that recently bought an M48 Yugo Mauser. This is a cool enough gun that I think that I might want one. However, I really would like it to do double duty as a deer rifle. Has anyone got experience with the B-Square "scout" scope mount that replaces the rear sights on this. I want something that will not require gunsmithing and something that will allow me to put it back into military configuration without to much trouble. If you have a solution, speak up!

Nice idea...

Of course, now I'll have to get another M48 so I can scope it :D I wonder if there's a way to replace the rear sight with some sort of rail system...

I had a B-square on mine along with a TC 4X scope and had great success with it until the TC scope went belly up. Then I sold it to someone on the board, now I'm looking to buy another one. Alot of people have had problems with them, but mine worked fine. I've also used Bsquare mounts on Mosins and an SKS with good results.

I use the B Square on a Swede M38, 2x B&L EER and love it! It's the quickest of my scoped rifles on target and anything inside of 150 yds is toast pronto. Plus it is a non-gunsmith mount, I can return rifle to original in five minutes. Do it!

SACTOWN

If you do go with the Iron Elite, please post your impressions of it. Looks like a really good system, but I don't know of anyone who has tried it.
