Stuff overheard at Walmart last night:
"Obama just wrote an executive order saying that we can't buy high powered rifle rounds no more. Give me a box of the 380 and the 306."
Cashier takes a WWB box of 380 ACP and a Remington Core-Lokt 30-06 out of the case, then asks him "You sure you want this? It says it's core locked."
"Oh, that's no problem, that's just the primer on the end of the bullet. Obama's going to ban the ammo, you know. Can I get another box of the 380? And some 9mm hollow points? Yeah, the executive order, can't buy the high power ammo no more."
It was surreal.
I walked out later with several boxes of 62gr 5.56 NATO and 147gr 7.62 NATO rounds, but got a lot of dirty looks from associates who were intent on holding them back for their buddies and didn't get the chance to do so by falsely claiming a '3-box limit'.
I did not, repeat, did not clear out their inventory. They had 40 boxes of SS109 remaining when I left.
