The Army's new 5.56x45mm M855A1 enhanced performance round is a real beast. It has had no trouble punching through even level III+ plates, but defeating steel armor is all about velocity, or mostly, anyway. Does the EPR have enough juice to get through a steel plate when fired from an 11.5" barrel? So before you watch the test, what is your prediction?

Interesting how much hate the M855A1 got here and other places. I voted stopped but armor fail before watching.

I was surprised by the performance but wasn't the fast burning powder optimized for the M4?

In your gel test you mention that you found a round "on the ground". Glad you got the results you needed with just one round. :)

I take you found more on the ground for this test? I need to search that fertile ground myself. You test just west of 'Copa don't you (I've recognized landmarks in some videos)?
