I saw these today for $109 including shipping I will have to pay an FFL transfer fee when I pick it up.

So for about $140, listed as VERY good condition.

Is this a good deal? It seems good, but nothing that I need to jump on right away.

I am not really in the market for one, but if its an AMAZING deal, I will grab one, just to grab one.

I'd say its a little expensive. You should buy one in person or get your C&R and have it shipped to your door.

A superb, all matching non-counterbored mosin might be worth that. Get the c+r license and stop getting screwed by retailers and gun shops.

Please define "screwed". How much profit can there possibly be on a $109.00 Mosin?

I did get mine for cheaper and there are better deals out there, but $109 isn't really getting screwed.

I ordered mine from AIM surplus about 2 years ago. Paid $75 for the rifle and another $30 for the transfer. Most online retailers seem to be asking $100+ for them today. Even mu local dealers were asking $100+ for them at the last gun show I attended. AIM still seems to be the cheapest, and they are very easy to deal with. They had my local FFL on file so it was a quick and easy purchase. The rifle I recieved was made at Tula in 1944, and had the brass caps on the stock. The numbers on the bolt matched the receiver aswell. The stock had an old repair in it that had broke loose, buy a dab of wood clue made it disappear.

I understood it as a strong reference to the transfer fee, which the C&R would eliminate. I don't necessarily agree with the terminology but it makes sense to eliminate cost whenever possible.

Yeah Aim Surplus did have them for $79. How was your condition? You cna pay an extra $10 for hand picked!

I've bought two numbers matching, perfect bore Mosins from my LGS for $110 + tax. That's about the price for them. If you pay more than that, you better be getting an original M91 or a Finnish Mosin. M91/30's are in the $80-110 price range, and likely will be for some time to come.
