It wouldn't be right if I didn't have a cool set of grips for my 1911. We made this set out of Burled Gold Field Red Mallee. I decided to cover up the MHS pin just to be different.
I am still thinking about an S&A arched MHS magwell. So these will do for now.
My gun shoots about 5 to 6 inches low at 15 yards. I may have to send it back to Springfield, unless anyone has any other ideas.

They look fantastic with my IWB COM Holster that Eric from HBE and I made.

I now have color coardinated CCW

Those are some CLASSY looking grips. Nice holster too. Im considering a VERY similar one (also from HBE) for my soon to be purchase CZ.

Nice grips!

Yeah! That's the pic.I've been looking for...I have a client asking for the same style done for his grips (pins covered and bevelled bottom) and I was wondering how it would look like since the grips that covered the pins I've made so far was with flat bottoms.

Thanks for posting the pic 12 Volt Man :)

Regards,

Hakan.

P.S. Send some of that wood this way man... :D

Yeah, Eric showed me that fancy-ass holster of yours. :D I'm very jealous.

Man, those grips are FANTASTIC!!!

How do you like those Novak sights? Thinking about getting some one my FEG... one of these days.

Very nice looking grips and holster!

As far as the gun shooting low... it seems to be a rather common problem SA has been having with their "loaded" models and Novak sights. I just spoke to them on Friday about one that I have and they suggested sending it back so they could fix it. If you bought it new, I *think* they'll cover shipping both ways so there won't be any cost to you - but you'd have to double check.

The stocks are beatiful. I've got a nice piece of wood I picked up at a gunshow about 12 yaers ago. I think it's about time to use it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Very nice grips. I have the same firearm, and I thought I liked the stock grips...until I see yours. Great color choice, as it complents the SS.
