The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Crime Lab has recommended that the 25 round Butler Creek 10/22 magazines that have been legal in Canada for decades, are "prohibited devices" and are illegal to own or sell if not pinned to 10 rounds.

This despite our laws that say that rimfire mags are not subject to the centerfire semiauto mag restriction.

Once this ruling is posted, despite the law (ie. Criminal Code) not having been changed, any Canadian in possession of this magazine unpinned can go to jail for up to ten years.

Guard your gun rights or you will end up like us Canadian sheep.

A lot of that going on all over, rule by government fiat.

Sure, why not? It's easy to write an infringement according to your own wishes and prejudices, knowing full well that it will take some peon's money and a high risk of imprisonment to challenge it in the Courts. Didn't the Massachussetts DA do that recently for guns which had parts that might interchange with naughty-naughty gun parts?

"They've" been doing that for as long as this old coot remembers but it's only recently that "they've" been getting very very bold about it with respect to firearms. I reckon "they" figured it was about time to really put the hammer down on those evil guns and gun owners.

After all, there's no punishment for violating the Constitution except for threat of removal from office.... at the next election sometime down the road. Like, wow, man.

And "they" get to keep their perks and retirement benefits anyhow.
