I have a beretta mini cougar in 45ACP(8045). I have the 8 round mags and only one of the slide-on finger extentions for the "pinky". Apparently these are scarce, and frankly I don't get it. Anyone know where to go to find these? I was told an extention for the beretta 92 would work, but you can't even find the extentions for that model. Any help is appreciated.

RCmodel has it right. That's the one I'm looking for but can't find. I guess I'll just keep looking and might get lucky.

The dimensions of many gun mags (using the same caliber) are nearly the same. (Some mags like SIG and CZ are almost the same except for where the release notch is located.)

If you can find a mag base for another gun with the finger tab it might work on your gun. You may have to look around, or get someone to let you try one of their "extensions" on your mags -- none of them are cheap.

Just finding one with the finger extension might be pretty easy. Finding one that adds a round or two might be harder -- but the same arguments as above, apply.

I hadn't thought of looking for extentions for other brands. Good idea since you are right about magazine dimensions being similar. There may be hope yet!

If you are handy?

You might be able to mold some using Bondo Auto Repair putty.
And suitable release agent and top and bottom stops to keep it in place on a mag while you squeeze it into shape before it sets up.

I would try it if it was me needing one!!
