Nobody's buying $8 .45Auto 1911 mags and counting on them. They may be available, and somebody may buy them, but they don't often work.

Wilsons ETM's cost about the same in 9MM as they do in .45.

For reference, H&K mags often cost over $50, SIG mags are often over $40.

Here is an endurance test you may find worthwhile http://pistol-training.com/archives/6982
ammunition depot has Sig 1911 stainless mags for $17/ea.. I just ordered a few. ;)

My reference was to SIG P-Series mags, as a reference point for how much semi-auto mags cost.

In reference to your SIG 1911 mags for $17, for what it's worth, SIG doesn't make 1911 mags. While it is likely they are made by CheckMate, which are generally pretty good mags, they could be made by just about anybody.

..... I cancelled that order.

I did some research and found out that Sig factory 1911 mags (made by Checkmate) cause feeding issues.

I'll have to do some research. Maybe I need Chip McCormick magazines.

And re: the P22x series mags.. I got some new P225/P6 magazines really cheaply off eBay, factory branded but made by Mec-Gar. I think they were $18/ea or so. The price may have risen since then.

The P226 magazines are still expensive. I haven't found them available and cheaper than mid-30s for Mec-Gar branded or Sig branded.
