magazine carrier belt

Greetings,

I saw a video of a rifle match and the guy had a carrier belt that could hold maybe 8 AR magazines. I am going to a rifle class and I have no idea what works best. The guy said we need to be able to carry 8 magazines. I saw the vests, but in the South, those are quite hot. Anyone could suggest me something that works?

holy crap, 8 mags??

that's a lot of mags to carry for an AR class. that's 240 rounds!

almost all the AR classes I've been to have required 3-4 mags on your person, preferably in a chest rig, though you can make a belt work if you are in shape.

if i were going to a class that actually required that, i would run 1 in the gun, 3 on my chest rig, and throw the other 4 in a dump pouch on my belt, and as i emptied the ones on my chest rig, i would refill from the dump pouch.
