Magazine Release for Firestar

Looking for a way to reverse the magazine release on my Firestar .40. I'm a lefty and would really like to set the gun up a left handed shooter. Any suggestions. I've tried looking for a lefty magazine release part number with no luck. Thank you.

You won't find a left-hand safety part Number, because the one you have will work either way.

Simple & easy.
You will need a small screwdriver.

1. Depress the mag catch fully.
2. Turn the lock screw 1/4 turn counter-clockwise.
3. Remove the catch assembly.
4. Turn it around and insert in the other side.
5. Depress fully and turn the lock tab 1/4 turn clockwise to release the spring.
6. Done.

I tried that, once reversed the magazine would not seat. I looked closer and the lip which locks the magazine in place is beveled. Its driving me nuts, cause the magazine has ambi cutouts on it. I will take a look at the manual. Always a good place to start. Thank you.
