Magazine Trouble

I have some after market magazines that don't seem to be functioning too well. One keeps on locking the slide back with one round left in the magazine, and the other one will not lock the slide back at all when the magazine is empty. If it is the springs and followers does anyone know an online source for reliable springs and followers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

More data please. Weapon, caliber, brand of mags, brand of weapon and what style of follower if 1911.

Its a Sig 226 9mm. I bought the magazines many years ago but my guess would be either Mec-Gar or Promag brand magazines.

It sounds like Pro-Mag. I have heard nothing but bad reports about them. I have not heard of any cheap ways to fix them either. Spend some money and buy better quality mags. IF they are Mec-Gar, Wolff has better springs with more power for them. Are they marked Made In Italy? I too agree that the mags are faulty.

Compare the lips on top of the mag with a round in it with one that works. You will probaly see the round is higher in the malfunctioning mag. If you bend the lips down carefully to match the hieght and shape of the good one it will most likely work. I wood not use them for CCW just practice.
