Since this is a craft that involves incredible precision, I am sure many of you will use a lighted magnifying lamp of some sort. There are many out there. What do you suggest?
This is exactly what I use. Mine is ancientI use one of these, I recommend a 5 diopter glass lens. Anything stronger than that will make halos around what your trying to look at you only be able to focus in the center of it. It is lit with a circular fluorescent bulb and you have full focus vision through it. Works good for taking out splinters also.
Mine came with an edge clamp and a pin mount. The glass lens doesn't scratch like plastic lens do.
You can swing it around and pull it out off the edge of the bench and over your press if you need to.

It looks like they are led now instead of fluorescent. Not cheap but very versatile.
