When I first saw these stocks at SHOT my first thought was––-that thing is ugly. Well, I still think it's ugly but it sure does seem to shoulder well...

Pros:
-12.5''-14.5'' adjustable LOP
-Very easy to install
-Multiple colors (supposed to be released next month)
-Heavy for a polymer stock
-Sling attachment points
-Accepts standard recoil pads should you want to change it out
-Adjustable cheek risers are available for use with optics.
-I find the grip angle very ergonomic
-Fit is great

Cons:
-Cost (anywhere from $85-100)
-Heavy for a polymer stock (yes, it's a pro as well––-just depends on your planed usage)
-It's ugly looking
-Only available for Remington scatter guns at the moment

Over all, I really like this stock. I like it so much that I have a couple of them now....

Here's a video review with some shooting and discussion about the stock:

The magpul forend on my AR made a huge difference in how it handled. I like th forend and believe it could be an improvement. Not so sure about the buttstock. Beauty has nothing to do with it, this is all about function. If it improves performance I could care less how ugly it may be.

I only paid $25 for the forend on my AR, which is not that big of a deal. I might have a little harder time spending $100 on this, but will seriously consider doing so. It seems much better than any other aftermarket stock anyone else has come up with.

You say heavy. What does it weigh. Most people THINK plastic stocks are all lighter than wood. A set of postal scales tells the truth. Almost all factory plastic stocks are the same weight or heavier than the same gun with a wood stock, some much heavier. The only synthetic stocks that are truly light are the high end models made for bolt rifles selling in the $600 range. I doubt if this is really much, if any heavier than a typical factory plastic stock.

I got the following message straight from Magpul yesterday (someone must have sent them the video):

"Thanks for the video. On the weight issue, here are some various shotgun stock weights.
Remington 870 OEM Plastic = 19.90oz
Mossberg 590 OEM Plastic = 22.67oz
Mesa Tactical = 29.37oz
Magpul SGA= 23.00oz
So the SGA weighs about 2 shotgun shells more than the OEM Remington stock but lighter than some other OEM and aftermarket stocks."

Perhaps it just felt heavier since it's shorter (same weight in a smaller package)....?

Seems to have a parallel comb, ala a trap stock, and that accessory on the right side does not appear to be friendly to those of us who are LH - is that a sling attachment point or????

It is for a sling and it's on both sides... It doesn't protrude at all and I have never noticed it on any of the 870s I'm running it on.
