The prudent thing is for them to do whatever is required to ensure their success and maximize profit. Nothing less.

I think that Rick Perry should travel to Colorado to tempt magpul into moving to Texas. He just got back from a similar trip to California. Magpul should set up shop in Houston, close to a polymer plant. Reduced feed and shipping costs!

The liberal wackos that infect CO(Boulder/Denver) don't care if Magpul or any other gun related company leave or not. They make more off of taxes from booze and weed. CO has more micro breweries(and some big ones) than anywhere else in the nation and the pot business is booming.

NOW - The STL area would be a great place for Magpul to relocate. Lots of cheap, empty industrial space, and unemployed factory workers chomping at the bit to get work...:):)[/COLOR][/B]

I placed a backorder with Brownell about 8 weeks ago....so can I trust that 6-7 week promise?

My post says DSG is filling backorders in 6-7 weeks.

If you follow the mag tracking threads on ar15.com, you'll notice that DSG is receiving WAAAAY more Pmags than Brownells is. Guys are actually getting mad at Magpul for funneling so much through DSG than any other distributor.

I would have thought Brownells would have had more clout than DSG

DSG's productivity seems to have caught everyone by shock. They are cranking out so many more orders AND continuing to take backorders while Brownells stands flatfooted.

Just to be clear, I have no affiliation with DSG nor Brownells. I ordered 40 Pmags from Brownells on 12/18 and received them the following week. But I've been watching this stuff ever since and it's been entertaining.

There are numerous Brownells customers like you who've since placed a backorder with DSG and received it while the Brownells order is still lost in outer space.

I just checked one of the mag tracking threads and it looks like the type of mags matter. Yesterday DSG was shipping non-window mags ordered on 12/22 and windowed mags ordered on 12/29. That's roughly <9 & <8 weeks respectively. My OP was based off of some DSG orders tracked last Saturday.

    MagPul Industries

    Tennesse Welcomes You

Barrett, TGI, MidSouth Shooters Supply, Hamilton Bowen and TN Cartridge Co. will make good neighbors. I think you will get along great with everyone.

Yuck. I went to a Denver Port article linked from one of the Magpul articles and there was a poll about the move, basically asking readers if Magpul should move out of the state if the legislation passes. The answers were (paraphrased):

Yes - Good riddance, we don't need them or their product here.
No - They'd be exempt and CO needs the jobs.
Maybe - My opinion is somewhere between these options.

The corpse of the 4th estate needs a formal burial.

There are a few silver linings on this cloud...

    1. Other states may stand up and take notice... being less prone to follow with their own banal feel good legisltation.

    2. Freedom minded states may prosper if these trends continue and other companies follow Magpul's lead.

    3. Colorado Dems may lose a bit of stature.

I think it may prove to be an opening salvo in the Balkanization of the US, whereby freedom loving peoples congregate in states where they can sway the political landscape and pull away from the tentacles of the Federal Gub'ment.

Not that I "need" any more 30 rounders but I have decided to gain a few more now.

    Thanks for the link CoRoMo
I put an order out (not Brownells) Monday the 17th & it's apparently somewhere near outer space.

I think everybody in Cleveland voted at least twice.

Just put in an order. I've had a backorder for almost 2 months with US Cav. Not optimistic.

Ohio's state-level politics are dominated by Republicans (State Congress, conservative Governor). As for how Democrats have found success here in National elections... I'll leave that to your imagination.

Magpul would be pretty safe in Ohio. We have spent the better part of the last decade writing pro-gun law after pro-gun law, and recent events have not changed that trend.

The thing that hurts Ohio is our reputation as a 'union' state, which was certainly true 40 years ago, but like everywhere else, unionism has died a slow death here in the Buckeye state. Magpul would not have to worry about fighting union power here, because outside of the U.A.W., there is no union power to speak of.

Michigan is my hope. We just dealt a serious blow to unionized thug labor with the recent passage of Right to Work laws, and aside from stupid pistol laws, we're a pretty gun friendly state.

We sure could use the jobs and the economic boost.

The place I work in the GR area does a lot of plastics work. Could be an opportunity for a nice joint venture.

Complete speculation. As of this moment, they aren't even leaving Colorado.

I lived there for awhile. I remember having to physically carry my handgun collection downtown (Flint) to let some bureaucrat put her fingerprints all over my mint Smith and Wessons and Colts, so that she could log the serial numbers. I didn't even have to do that when I moved to The People's Republic of California.
