Magtech Ammo Problems?

Has anyone had any experience with misfires due to hard primers on
Magtech ammo? I went through an entire box of Speer Lawman with no problems on my AMT Backup .380 DAO but the first three Magtechs out of the box misfired with no primer detonation.
The Speers use CCI primers (don't they?) which are supposedly some of
the hardest along with Winchesters. Any thoughts?

I had that problem with the first round of Magtech I fired (or attempted to), since then it has been flawless out of my Steyr M9. I have run through about 425 rounds so far with only one misfire. I wouldn't use it for home defense, but for the range I haven't had a problem. Wish I could be of mroe help...

shot a bunch of their .357 stuff, some 9mm and a few boxes of .45.

Never had any problems other than the god-awful stench of the .45.

I had one misfire with 9mm Magtech. One in a few thousand rounds.
The only problem I have with Magtech ammo is that their 95gr JSPs have a rather short OAL that occasionally causes failures to feed in my Glock. But they are quite accurate, so I use them for competitions.

Had one that took two licks to detonate in a 581 the other day. First bad one I've seen from them that I can remember offhand...

The only Magtech I've shot is .32acp from a P-32. No hard primers there. And that P-32 HAS had ignitiion problems with CCI Blazer .32

No misfires yet after thousands of rounds fired, the 9mm is suprisingly accurate, moreso than Wally White box. The only bad thing I've heard is their brass particularly in .45ACP is harder which makes it spring back during sizing if reloading. I semi-proved this to myself by zapping numerous cases with an air rifle, Win and PMC cases were pierced on one wall with a significant deformation(front wall folding in) of the case. Magtech cases (CBC headstamp) consistently were penetrated all the way through with almost no deformation. The exit was usually a neatly broken hole. Same range, pellets, etc. That sure seems less ductile to me.
