Makin my own gun vise.

Well I have been looking at some gun vices, and many are out of my price range. So I'm goin up to Lowe's to grab some stuff to build my own. Any suggestions?

I've seen some much nicer designs, but I'm not very clever, and this one was just simple enough for me to handle

good work and ideas. I got a pretty cheap one from wal mart but what I can't afford is a decent lead sled for bench shooting.

I like the one in your link Nyrifleman. Its simple and can be built in 15-20 minutes. The walmart one is plastic, and wont hold up to some of the stuff I am goin to be shooting. Thanks for all the info guys. It was Either spend $75-150 for a nice one, or make one. Ill think I'll make one. Got the wood today, and will get to it this Saturday. Thanks a bunch guys.

Ok I went to Walmart to look at their gun vise because I didn't like my design. I looked at it measured it and drew up more plans. I did not build my first design because it restricted what you could do too much. While inspecting and drawing up my own plans it seemed allot easier than what I first thought. The materials are purchased and it only cost me $9.28. Time to build it, and test it, then ill post some pics.
