I still have my Razor Edge compound bow. Not a bad weapon, but ever since my Liberty 1 arrived, it really only caught dust.

So I had this idea to use it as a part for a home made slingshot crossbow, much like the medieval style rubber powered model I am so happy with.

Took a whole afternoon, but it is now very functional. Medieval style trigger and rolling nut meets modern compound technology! The low letoff (15%) allow very easy trigger pull weights, making the weapon very accurate.

Finished the weapon, now I just need to attach a sighting system.

It takes NO practice to hit with this thing, whereas a bow requires much training.

I also made another "Six Circles" shooter from Maka Mong burlwood, came out nice. See the pics in my blog!

(If you leave a comment in the blog, you can win a slingshot)

Joerg, that's a very cool toy / tool that you made. I like the creativity.

Joerg,
When you pulled out the black cannon pouch I almost blew my coffee all over my keyboard, it was such a sight to see, compared to the small one you were just showing on your slingshot!

You have a very calm, serene manner about you that makes watching your videos very interesting, to say the least, especially when you pull something fantastic out of your "bag of tricks!" LOL!

Keep up the good work
, some of these weapons could be used to drop a deer (after getting permission from the game warden, as you may have to use the crossbow during a certain deer hunting season).

Hmm.., I have an old Hoyt 80 lbs compound bow. Its at least 20 years old and I think it would be the great beginnings of a cross bow. The cables and string are old and need replacing after which I thought of making a stock with a shorted up riser for bolting the limbs to. Anyone think this is do able? Or would it be to hard to get cables and a string for it. I would only be using the limbs and pulleys from the original bow. Or is it more trouble than its worth.

Most impressive! Because I am a klutz, I know I would likely bump the trigger before it was aimed in a safe direction. I'd like to build one of my own and incorporate a cross-bolt safety. I've seen some of your videos before. The knife-throwing crossbow I think is my favorite for the sheer audacity of it!

;)

Jorg could answer this better than I, but I don't think he would be allowed to use these to hunt with in Germany. In fact, if I am not mistaken, one cannot bowhunt at all in Germany, let alone use a slingshot or a crossbow.
