Making case lube, but I can't dissolve all the lanolin. What to do?

This has been an interesting thread. It helps me remember why I buy it already mixed.

And if folks search the forum there are probably 100 threads about the same thing;)
The nuances about cheap 95% rubbing iso vs 99 % HEET

Anhydrous is just "without water" It will absorb water even from the atmosphere (over time)

I have no experience mixing lanolin. But just as an experiment I wonder if a scant dab ( like half a drop!) of a detergent would help the two to mix? Before discarding the container it might be something to try.

Like someone said earlier I mixed HEET and liquid lanolin 1 year ago. Just poured them into the bottle. Have not shaken or stirred since and the formula stayed mixed. Process seemed easy and effective..

Probably for the same reason they cast their own bullets and breath all of those toxic fumes. :D They can save a few bucks every year.
For case lube it is probably pennies?
Cast bullets are FREE but of course you need FREE lead, molds melters, lube and electricity.:)

I just throw in more than can possibly dissolve and let the excess set on the bottom in a big lump. I give it a big shake before I use it and when the bottle gets low I pour in some more alcohol and give it another big shake. To me it’s just a stochiometry problem with the alcohol being the limiting ingredient. In other words, there’s no harm in having excess lanolin.

What toxic fumes? The most toxic fumes when I cast come from the refried beans I had for dinner the day before.

As for the lube? I have enough liquid lanolin to make two gallons of case lube. The quart I have mixed up cost me $1.75

My OH my. You sure are making a lot of work for yourself.:)

Just use some diluted Lee Lube spritz it on and you don't even need to remove it.

If your cases are so coated with lube you have way to much on them

deprime, clean pockets, size, washing, drying, waxing. washing removing wax dry again, a reloaders work is just never done!:what:
