Can you believe this. No way this guy is getting in the capitol. With a long gun none the less.

I think the guy made an honest dumb mistake.

I know nothing about Washington DC gun laws except that some of them were unconstitutional. Is it required to register a shotgun, or is the writer unknowledgeable about the law?

Virginia does not require registration of long guns, IIRC. However, he will probably be charged with having the guns in DC without the permission of the poeple who wouod never give permission anyway.
