Man arrested in Best(worst buy) for using $2 bills

For Baltimore County police, said spokesman Bill Toohey, "It's a sign that we're all a little nervous in the post-9/11 world."

Right. Jackass. Let's blame everything on 9-11 now. How about admitting you people didn't know that two-dollar bills exist.

I like $2 bills. When you use them in the lowered lights of strip clubs, the dancers think you're throwing a $20 and you get great dances!

I think this is going to get pulled for being OT, but here I am to say, "What kind of gun was the officer carrying?" There now it is ok.

I would be asking for an apology from the cops and I sure as hell would report Best Buy for not accepting legal tender. I hesitate to say "sue" as we are already a sue happy country. How stupid can you get.

Normally, I am not for suing people, but the man was put in LEG IRONS. Leg irons...like a child molester or murderer. That is way over the top.

Got to love our public schools, I guess the no child left behind is working
for some, the rest work at best buy.

Best buy treated me like a criminal when I returned a defective video card without the AOL 50,000 free hours disk.

I hope they get whats coming to them

I know a guy who had the police called on him when he tried to pay at Taco Bell with $2 bills. The manager there said he had never seen $2 bills before either. That said the cops laughed when they got there. They had a little more sense than the manager.

In an ever-changing world, its comforting to see that Baltimore is still full of very stupid people.

On the bright side, this guy should be very rich once he gets around to filing the appropriate lawsuits.

Why don't these things ever happen to me? I would love a hefty out of court settlement with letter of apology! Best Buy and the Municipality would be giving me money. Oh woe is me! :D

Hello folks.â„¢

For Baltimore County police, said spokesman Bill Toohey, "It's a sign that we're all a little nervous in the post-9/11 world."

Translation: Yeah, we messed up a little, but come on: it's after 9/11! Everybody is a criminal, after all... :barf:

Well, the long and short of it is that once he collects his settlement he will have been very highly compensated for his discomfort and embarassment....and I wish him well. There is no excuse for this sort of treatment.

BTW....how does passing bad money equate being a 'terrorist' (tm)? Even if they were fake bills, does that make him violent and in need of leg shackles?

Manager, cashier need to be fired....officer needs to be severely reprimanded if not dismissed for his over reaction to the situation and the gentleman needs to become very wealthy within the next couple of months

Thank you government schools.

The government operated indoctrination centers are not going to teach about $2 bills because most of the teachers are the product of the schools they teach. [Intellectual incest] The uneducated "indoctrinees" are the types that work at cut rate stores. So they can be excused for not knowing of $2 bills in the same sense and for the same reason that you would excuse a tank full of gold fish for making the same mistake.

BUT. There is no excuse for a policeman to be this stupid.

I hope this guy sues evey man-jack involved to the point where they all starve to death living in a cardboard box.

"Manager, cashier need to be fired....officer needs to be severely reprimanded if not dismissed for his over reaction to the situation"

Not just the officer but several layers on top of him. This is beyond stupid. The Baltimore police need to be reminded that we all aren't criminals.

I have been inspired. For years after a check was stolen inside my local tax office and cashed, I have paid my tax bill in Susan B. Anthony dollars, unwrapped of course. I think I'll mix in some $2 bills now to be even more obnoxious.

I think this is going to get pulled for being OT, but here I am to say, "What kind of gun was the officer carrying?" There now it is ok.

SIGPro 2340.

If there is any justice in this world, this man will soon be rich, courtesy of Best Buy and the Baltimore County Police Deptartment. As if my Baltimore County taxes weren't high enough already.

Actually, if there were any justice in this world, this wouldn't have happened in the first place. :cuss:

Am I overusing smileys? :uhoh:

Clerk and manager fired. Officer given official reprimand and reassigned to most demeaning duty possible to end his miserable career. Best Buy should be boycotted. Spokesman should be forced to eat his words.
This is outrageous.

I think I'll handle ALL my monetary transactions with $2 bills from now on.

But I'll never spend a dime at BB
