Man defends home with katana (nsfw)

My last contribution to this thread.... I was taught years and years ago that any opponent with a blade or edged weapon of any kind was a very dangerous individual whether trained or untrained. I learned on the street that at close quarters that was absolutely the case - and also learned to keep a distance from anyone I suspected was so armed whether I could see it or not....

By the way most witnesses to any stabbing or cutting rarely ever saw the weapon being employed even when they were close to the action (unlike what's shown in TV and movies about blade combat).
 
I was stabbed multiple times by a young man residing in the house of my girl friend, she was a foster mother, never saw it coming, right out of the blue he stabs her in the throat, she died shortly after that, he immediately attacked me with a steak knife, both my lungs collapsed from the wounds, i nearly died, i was carrying a Leatherman, never had a chance to possibly use it.

Anyone with anything, either you armor up or vastly improve your situational awareness.
I would say this, i read about this, " he who lives by the sword dies by the gun"
