Mannlicher stock for Remington 788?

My buddy bought a Remington 788 in 270 for a 150 and the beech stock is broken beyond repair. He wants me to replace the stock and put a new scope on it. We both like the look of the mannlicher stock, but I can't find a single stock maker that offers one. I've never had a custom stock made or anything

Richards Microfit will make a Mannlicher version of at least some of their stock styles for $57 extra.

I've seen a lot of bad reviews about richards, I think I'm gonna go with the great American gunstock company. I'm gonna get a semi fancy American walnut stock mannlicher length

Rem. 788

I don't think Rem.788's were ever chambered in .270 Win. it's a short action. But I may be wrong hdbiker

Hdbiker, your right the rifle is in 243. I had to double check, working third shift has been messing me up lol.
