Manslaughter charged in accidental Shoreline shooting death
The Associated Press

SEATTLE — King County prosecutors have filed a manslaughter charge against a Shoreline man accused of shooting a woman while showing her a gunslinging trick.

Prosecutors say 19-year-old Robert Morris was showing his brother and two friends a .22-caliber revolver on Thursday when he mimicked a move from the movie "Wild Wild West."

Charging papers say he didn't realize the gun was loaded when it fired and fatally wounded 20-year-old Amesha McIlvenna of Seattle who died at the Morris home in Shoreline.

Morris is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 30 at the King County Courthouse in Seattle.

Sad.. The poor kid will probably get several years in prison or a stupid accident.

Ofcoarse they will let a drug dealer out to make room for him...

Poor kid? You’re kidding I hope. He killed an innocent human while intentionally dicking around with a gun. He should get the maximum time that the books have for him. He probably had an opportunity to convert people who were on the fence about firearms. He went the immature route and probably scared away hundreds of people - what a monumental ass.

I agree Jake. His parents should do a few years too for not teaching him some common-sense firearms safety (assuming he was brought up around guns.)

Jake I am not kidding and I will tell you why..

Yes He did something VERY stupid. Now I don't know the kid but he may be a good kid that made a huge mistake. He could very well turn out to be a good member of society. I am not saying he doesn't deserve a punishment but he didn't rob a store and then shot the cashier.

I live near a prison. Have been around it for years and know alot of people that work there and have meet several convicts. Some people don't deserve the max but the ones that don't usually get it.

There is a guy in for 25 that killed a guy at a party when he was nineteen. The fight was over a girl and he hit a guy in the face. He happened to be a big guy and when the other guys face shattered bone when into his brain. This guy had never been in trouble. He was sober the other guy wasn't. Won't parole him because he is so "dangerous" because he could hit someone once and kill them.....

I could give you several examples of situations like this but the point I am trying to make is that guys like this and the guys that killed a person raping their wives, which isn't uncommon, won't get paroled. They parole the gangbangers and drug dealers that should be shot. The violent SOB's. Every now and then I work around some of the convicts that are on their way out for parole and most are pieces of sh%t and will go back do doing what they were in for.

One reason why this happens. The guy that killed the guy in the fight... When he comes up for parole the parents of the dead guy always come and plead that the parole board doesn't let him out. So they don't. Families make a big difference... When the gangbanger comes up for parole. There are no family members from their victims. They were gangbangers also and they ditched their own families long before they got killed. These guys will parole alot faster.

I know the kid did a dumb thing and the end result was the worst but the end result was an accident.

I also hope he receives a decent sentence, his negligence took an innocent life.

It doesn't matter to me whether or not he was brought up around guns, he made a bad decision with tragic consequences and he has to be held accountable for it.

Don't say that KC. That is starting to happen now.

If a person has a child that kills somebody while driving drunk and you have told them many times not to drink and drive but they do. You are saying they should go to prison also.... I am not flaming you by anymeans but that remark carries alot of implications. I am a parent. That is scary.
