2" and round butt? I would really like to see a picture or two. I have never seen a 2" round butt 64 no dash, even though I know that they made them.

Ship date should be c.1973-74. This 4" one dates to 1973, and the SN is about 90k less than yours.

Looking to possibly sell a 2½" 315 Night Guard Scandium frame revolver for the kind of price it will bring, and acquire this for much less. Weight would make recoil management a bit better too. I had a 64 back in 80's and regret trading it.

@TigerMule
I looked for info in the Standard Catalogs of Smith & Wesson 2nd and 4th editions.
It appears your revolver was made in 1970 or 1971. The serial number doesn’t jibe with the serial number list in either edition. I took some photos of the book pages for you.

Thanks for the added information. Much appreciated.

You are going to love shooting that thing.

A 2" J-frame is okay to shoot, but they can be a bit spicy.

A 2" K-frame is easy and pleasant to shoot. You may be surprised by its accuracy.
