I checked AIM Surplus' website last night and to my enormous surprise I saw that they had Manurhin MR-73 pistols listed.
I clicked the link and saw that they were naturally all sold out.
They must have all gone in the first hour of the first day. Prices ranged between $480 and $580.
I read somewhere that Century was importing a batch of those guns to the US.
Since AIM said they only got a consignment of 100 of them, are there any leads here on where others might be?

Considering that these were the finest production revolvers in the world I'm still wondering if there's a chance for me to get in on some history.

I few weeks ago somebody was mentioning that AIM listed it in one of their email blasts (I can't remember if I received that particular one), but by the time they saw it and tried to order, they were sold out. There is a thread about it around here some place. I agree though, those guns never had a chance of sitting around.

It brings me tremendous pain that I couldn't get to one of these in time. I want one badly, and those prices are muy excellente. A small price to pay for one of the greatest combat revolver mankind ever produced, if not THE greatest.

I wonder, with these surplus MR-73s, did the French stop using this revolver? It seems they were still using them up until recently. Hopefully not, they are the last country to use revolvers for Law Enforcement that I know of.
