One hint is CBC. They are high end (modern) metal working firm in Brazil. One of their lines is firearms and ammunition. They also make aircraft parts, jet engine sub-assemblies, etc. I have one of their shot guns and it's my favorite single shot break action.

I suppose you could email them for more information?

That 270 might be the best shooting 270 you will own. I had a 7mm rem mag back somewhere around 1982 and payed around 260 for it and wished I had kept it. Well fit ,very nice wood blueing and a very accurate rifle with out haveing any preference of bullet. Should be able if like new to get 400 to 450 maybe. They were last sold by remington and most resent by EAA as a bakal Z98 but not the nice wood and not a high shine blueing.

Thanks for the info..I have been pondering the idea of keeping the .270,It's a nice looking rifle and it does have a nice feel to it.And besides you can never have too many guns! (my wife hates that saying) LOL
