Anybody familiar with the Marlin 308SDT? It's a stainless version of the good old 336, but chambered for the 308 Marlin XLR round and with a 16.5" barrel. They're really cool looking rifles, but I'm wondering how much accuracy and velocity I'd sacrifice.

Probably not much if any. You are right though, they are cool looking rifles. My guess is that accuracy would be fine, but velocity would be a few hundred FPS (max) off of published data.
