Marlin .45-70 problem

I loaded up some 405 gr .45-70 for my Marlin lever gun. Having never loaded the .45-70 before, they were a little long and did not want to feed from the magazine. No problem, I will single load them until they are gone.
Now for the problem. One of them misfired, and it is so long it will not allow the bolt to come back far enough to eject the cartridge. I have never taken a Marlin lever gun apart and need to know the best way to get the bolt out to remove the misfire. Any help will be appreciated. I got the rifle used and have not gotten an instruction manual yet. Thanks.

Make sure you are in a safe place with gun pointed away from everyhting that can be destroyed.

Open lever halfway.
Take out lever screw.
Take out lever.
Pull out bolt.

The next piece of advice would be to get rid of the rest of that batch of ammo. If you've got a problem with 1, you'll more than likely have problems with others. Pull the bullets and be done with them. Recycle whatever components you can and be sure to check your OAL next time.

Thanks for the help. Which is the lever screw? Also, good point on making sure of muzzle direction. People giving me safety advice do not offend me (even though I was going to do that!). Also, the ammo is being broken down even as I write this!

Look on the pointy part of the trigger plate where the lever pivots...that be the screw..

Thanks, this is my first real lever gun. I am by training a bolt gun guy. They are pretty idiot resistant. Which is why I like them!
