A few weeks ago I posted about model 60 that I bought used, that refused to feed properly. It was jamming rounds at a 45 degree angle and the bolt was denting the cartridge. I tried cleaning, and lubing, and not lubing, and 4 different types of ammo, nothing helped. I finally took a close look at the feed throat and saw a series of small "nicks" where the rim of the cartridge rides up as it is chambered. Well, I took a shot, and ordered one from Numrich. Installed it with the help of this link, http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=86314&page=2 , and it works like it was new again. The rifle fed and fired every type of ammo I put in it, even the cheapo bulk stuff. The part was about $13 and only took 3 days to get from Numrich, they said allow 5-7. It was not terribly difficult, and once you do it and figure out how it all works, I did mine twice (put the buffer in backwards), it's pretty easy. I will say that you should hold the hammer spring retainer in place before you take everything apart, it's done with a bent fork in the attached link. If you don't, everything goes to pieces and its harder to figure out where everything was. Taking some pictures before you start is a big help! I have also included a picture of the offending feed throat, the nicks I was talking about are really obvious in the picture, but were actually really small, just enough to catch the rim instead of letting it ride smoothly into the chamber.

My Glenfield/Marlin 60 is pretty old and has this same problem about once per 25rds. I may try polishing mine if it's not gouged too badly. If that doesn't work, I'll do what you did and order a new part from Numrich.
