i'm trying to see if the distance from the inside front edge of the front tube band to the inside front edge of receiver stays the same through different models and years. if any one has one they would be willing to measure and post w/ measurement, model and year it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks, rick

Probably not as there were different bbl lenghts and with shorter bbl goes shorted mag tube. Bbls went from 16 to 22 inches.

they only had 2 tube capacities. 17 before mid 80s and 14 after so there should only be 2 tube lengths, but i don't know if front band moved forward for the 17 rounders.

I have to get mine out of the safe & take some measurements.
PM me if I don't have it to you in 24 hours.

14.812" Rear of band to front of receiver - Measuring space only.
2.312" from front of band to end of tube.
Stainless Model 60 SB
I have no idea on the year
14 shot

thanks wnt, i called marlin and they have seven different tube lengths but could not give measurements i needed. you gave me exactly what i needed.
anyone else able to help? thanks, rick
