Marlin 60 SS Extraction Problem

I have a new Marlin and it won't extract spent shells. I am not sure if it was damaged when a shell misfired in it, it appeared some sort of wire got damaged. any ideas on how i could find one to replace the damaged wire?

That "wire" is likely a spring. Remove the trigger group and look for something out of place.
