The screw next to the original Marlin 60 screw cost 11¢. The big head holds the broken trigger guard in place just fine. It works best when you keep in place the piece that has snapped off. It's a #8 fine thread screw (32 threads per inch.) Has anyone ever posted this before? I did a search first and came up empty.

It's best if one snugs up this screw before tightening both the front trigger guard screw and the big headed screw that holds the action to the stock. Don't use the screw to pull down on the weak end when everything else is snug.
