I bought a Marlin 795 22LR auto at an auction last Sunday. It was new in the box. I took it out to the range and put 5 rounds in the clip. I set up a target at 25 yards because I had no idea where it was going to hit. I fired all five rounds and went to look at the target. All 5 rounds were in the one inch bull. This was with open sights set from the factory. I wasn't expecting this. I think this is going to make a really nice little plinker. Anyone else have one of these rifles? Was your experience as satisfying?

wrong forum. Resisting urge to talk about reloading rimfire cartridges
It could be done with a few simple tools, knowledge of how to make priming compound, a source for the proper heeled bullets, and more patience than I possess.

And yeah, those 795's are no pretty guns, but all of them that I've fired are good little tack drivers

I have that rifle. And yes, its a tack driver.
Been meaning to pick up a couple extra mags, the tech sight, and attend a Appleseed.
Too many other priorities eating up my cash flow and time right now.

Mine is scoped and I think its my favorite 22. I can hit a fifty cent piece sized spinner at 40 yds with each squeeze.

I do not find the factory trigger to be a hindrance practically.
