Went to pick up a few auto parts from my little brother today. Before leaving, it's always a good idea to ask, "Got any new guns lately" and this time it was well worth it.

He recently came across a Marlin Model XXX .30 caliber rimfire revolver and he bought it for $200. It is a neat little gun, perfectly functional and in good condition with pearl grips. Close to 140 years old.

My only question is...

Is there anyone at all still making this ammo?
I'd imagine that some obscure custom shop might be able to roll some for a high price, but I can't find any information at all.
Anyone know much about these little guns? (I guess that's two questions)

ah so sad to say, the few pieces of remnant ammunition for this caliber are collectors items, and probably a few dollars a round.

ive heard of a european company making small amounts of .41 rimfire for navy arms or similar. may ask them for info.

You may not have heard of it but .30 rimfire was a real caliber distinct from .32. Fresh ammo is nonexistent, chances of finding shootable ammo even at cartridge collector prices is small.
Just as well, the Marlin XXX is a knockoff of the Smith & Wesson 1 1/2 and is not a strong gun.
