1BadRam:

Welcome aboard....you're now a member of the best firearms forum on the 'net:D

Good to meet ya'....let me know if you want to get together over at On Target for an informal shoot....I'll introduce you to the rest of my stable:cool:

since there's so many of us with On Target memberships, maybe we should go ahead and plan a small get-together....say March 31st?

I guess I missed everybody. I was there with my dad and a friend of his (we may have stood out a little because I was the shortest person there, and my dad's friend was the tallest) from about 10:30 to ~1:15 on lanes 7 and 8 (you guys must have got it when we left). I talked to riffraff and Jason a little, but didn't see any other THR people and most of the people around me didn't seem too talkative. I still had a good time though, and I'll try to meet up with you guys next time. I got to put a couple dozen rounds through my new M77 (and have the sore shoulder to prove it), about 50 rounds through my 10/22, and ~50-60 rounds through my dad's friend's A1 (i think) AR15 (which made me realize that my firearm collection will never be complete without an AR15). Just to make everybody jealous, he got his ar15 + half a dozen 20rd mags, an SKS, and an Ak47, all pre-ban and in pretty good shape, for $1200 a few years ago. :)

Damn Nico .. you went right past us!!. I arrived about same time as Norton and Spot .... and Soloman Short and Lead Pumper where already there ... down on approx #4 or so.

We were outside waiting from about 12.45 I guess and would have seen you guys leave. Sorry we didn't manage intro's. If you look at the group pic it'll give you some idea of who we all were ........ another time perhaps.:)

All the more reason for us to get those THR badges made up. Nico, we ended up on lane 8 so you must have been loading out while we were getting set up.

BTW....I'll bet I got your Dad's buddy beat on the height:p

haha how tall are you Norton? His friend is about 6'7"-6'8".
Just out of curiosity, what is hap baker's policy on spent brass? Do they mind if you leave it on the ground or should it be picked up? I saw a few people sweeping it in front of the benches where people wouldn't constantly trip on it so I did the same with our .22lr and .223 brass, but I'd like to be sure.

I go around 6'7"/240lbs...but with my shootin' boots on I bet I go better than 6'8".....hard to find a gun that fits....guess I'll have to start shopping in the big and tall gun shops.

RE: Spent brass......I always make a good faith effort to clean up after myself where ever I shoot. At Hap Baker....just sweep it up and throw it in the bins. If you're shooting steel case (ala Wolf)...use the magnets on sticks to separate the cases and dump the steel in the trash.

Sorry I missed, folks, but work(Ptui!) intervened again. Hopefully I'll get back to Sundays off so I can have fun too.

Mayhap next time I'll bring one of the "Serious" 870s and we'll play with slugs and buck.

And my old 30-30 is just sitting there....

Thanks...

Sorry for the delay in posting a great BIG THANKS! to everyone who showed up. (busy week)

Had a great time Sunday, never been to Hap Bakers before. I could easily see myself going more often, It's a great range run by some top notch people.

Thanks again too all those that let me shoot thier stuff.

anapex: love that Garand, great trigger. Hope you get it sighted in better cause I think its a real winner.

P95carry: Contender's are cool, do you always have such large groups at 50 yards?:D

Norton + Spot77: don't remember who's AR I shot but thanks, it helps to remember what a good functioning rifle feels like. (Armalite says to ship the 180b back to them...<sigh>)

All: Great time, can't wait to do it again, next time...

BADGES!!!BADGES!!! BADGES!!!

hahaa! Doesn't fo too bad does it .. love that tool!!

Spot, Norton ....... my senility is advancing fast ... I was constanly referring to the 9mm carbine as PC9 ... what utter stupidity!!! It is Marlin camp carbine! DUH!!

Quite some time ago I for some reason got ''PC9'' lodged in memory and thereafter was referring to the gun as that ... never thinking beyond! Must go to show I do have way too many! So FYI, that is what it was!

I gotta get back on my med's I think!!:D

Still loved it anyway!

I went and looked at a PC4 (the Ruger 40 cal version) and it looked and felt identical to your Marlin (from what I can remember) so I can see how one might confuse them.

the Ruger did seem a tad shorter now that I think about it.

Since I liked yours so much, I guess I'll have to STOP shopping for a Ruger, and START shopping for a Marlin.:D

Leadpumper: No problem. I enjoyed shooting your Kel-tec at Continental, so next time we're at Hap Baker, I'll bring the AR15 for ya', and you can bring the Kel-tec again.

I'm on a carbine kick now that I shot P95's Marlin and Norton bought Chaim's High Point. It just won't do to be without one:evil:

Carbines?

Spot77- A carbine kick you say?

So...

Should I tease you with offers of shooting some more carbines?

Maybe a nice slick .357 lever gun...

Or an evil Uzi...

The REALLY evil SBR kind...

You know you're hooked, admit it. We won't tell.:D

-LeadPumper

Oh I admit it.

I'm hooked like those big bass that the pros seem to catch ebery 30 seconds on the outdoor channel.....Hook, line, lure, rod reel....AND the fishfinder.

Yes....I think I'd like to try that evil UZI....just once maybe.

Everybody needs to be able to say they've shot an UZI:evil:
