I think this is appropriate. I encourage others to see if they can help, even if only making a few phone calls.
There is an election next Tuesday, to fill the seat of the virulent anti-2nd Amendment Ted Kennedy. It is between State Senator Scott Brown who is being endorsed by the NRA.

On the other side is Coakely.

"As state Senator, Brown is considered one of the most conservative Republicans in the Bay State -- supporting issues like concealed carry of firearms and earning an "A+" rating from the state pro-gun group, Gun Owners Action League.
His opponent is the type of radical anti-gunner people have come to expect from Massachusetts. Late last year, Attorney General Coakley filed a brief urging the state Supreme Court to uphold a law requiring firearms to be kept under lock and key when not in use.
The choice for gun owners in this race could not be more clear -- and the stakes could not be higher. "
So, if Brown wins that will keep a filibuster proof 60 member Democrat hold on the US Senate from forming.
What I did: Went to his site and donated a few bucks. http://www.brownforussenate.com/
What I plan to do: Sign up and make a few calls this weekend to rally the Masschusettes voters. http://www.brownforussenate.com/call-from-home-registration
Here is a chance to perhaps help with the final push. Massachusettes may never for a long time have this opportunity to get an A+ rated pro-gunner in. This is not a futile practice of doing the right thing just to do it. He may actually pull it off.
A poll last night has put him ahead for the first time (statistically though even).
This will be my first phone calling for any type of political candidate, but I think worth it. And really, a couple of hours over the next few days to maybe change History. (this is Change that I can Hope for)
