I'm in the process of purchasing a M33 handguard for my M4A3 to mount an Aimpoint on it. One of the handguards I'm looking at online comes with a forward pistol grip. I'd like to get it with the pistol grip, but now I'm wondering if there is a law in Massachusetts banning them. Knowing Mass Laws, I wouldn't doubt it. I'm unable to find anything specific on this so I was wondering if anyone here happens to know.

I have a Bushmaster mod. XM15-E2S. I purchased this at the gun show in Marlborough , MA last year.
It has a pistol grip on the rear only!
From what I understand, theforward pistol grip would make this illegal.
I guess the MA legislature feels that this added item would make the gun "more lethal."
The lack of this accoutrememt didn't seem to impair the DC snipers!

As far as scopes.. this might interest you

I believe a forward pistol grip is one of the items on the "menu" that would kick the weapon into the "assault weapon" category. Not sure on that -- the rear pistol grip alone might be one item, and another pistol grip might not be a second count. Just remember that they give you a "menu" of "features," and your weapon can have only two of the items on the list or it becomes inherently evil.

I guess I'll weigh in on the side of caution and pass on the second front grip. I don't want to make my black weapon of mass destruction any more evil then it already is. :scrutiny:

Thanks everyone for the advice!
