This past Sunday, I participated in the 2011 York 3-Man Team 3-Gun Match. This match is the brainchild of Howard Thompson, longtime 3-gunner and match director at the York, PA Izaac Walton League. It combines some elements of outlaw 3-gun, Sportsman's Team Challenge, and the old Second Chance pin shoots. There's a little of everything in this match, from 7-yard shotgun steel to 200-yard rifle plates.
This year, the match was more popular than ever, with 42 teams hailing from as far away as Ontario, Canada.
I shot with The Triumvirate, along with Howard Thompson and John 'Mig' Migliaccio. We had a pretty good match, minus a few missteps. Still good enough for first place.

We're gonna do another match like this in the fall, so keep an ear out at www.yorkiwlaipsc.com.
