Mauser K98 Russian Capture Price Check

I haven't see this yet, but I'm curious what a fair price "range" on a Russian Capture K98 might be. The condition was described to me in an e-mail as "good" and is a "good shooter" with complete nazzi swastikas and eagles in place. Also says the stock has a rearsenal repair in the very front end of it. Comes with 20 rounds in stripper clips. He's was asking $300 for it, but came down to $225 because he needs the $$$.

That is a good price, if the rifle is servicable. Was at a gun show today, and the lowest was 269.99. There were plenty at 299.99. I even got the 269 guy a little lower, so 225 is good if its in good shap.

Just an Idea though, part of the fun for me was picking through them. It was worth the extra 40-50 to get to do that. Check it out for 225 but dont commit until you see it.

If the K98 is actually as described it is worth $225-300 for a run of the mill RC. An excellent Russian Capture with all nazi markings undamaged can go higher. Unless "sporterized" ,otherwise altered or badly rusted,even a low end RC is worth $225. The ammo will add 6-12 bucks depending on manufacturer.
