I've finally managed to find a little more ammo for my new M24/47 Mauser, so I'll probably be taking it out to the range here pretty soon to sight it in. This leads me to a slight problem. The sight has been drifted to the right slightly, I don't know if this is going to work out or not, if I go out and find the rifle shoots straight without any fuss then I'll be fine, but if I go out there and find out it is shooting to the right or whatever, I'm gonna have to adjust the sight which will be difficult because of the hooded sight. Is there a tool I need to remove the hood, or can I just do it with some out of the garage??

Thanks!!

Stick a pair of needle nose pliers in the sight hood and pull the handles apart.

It will spring the hood apart far enough to slide it off.
