Just shot my first trap game with the little MAVI .410 with both good and bad results, as well as something amusing...

I was doing reasonably well, it's a nice shooting little gun, smooth, negligible recoil, I was hitting pretty well, 3-4 hits per station....

Until station 4, I dropped in a shell, snapped the action closed....

And the stock separated from the receiver!! I was holding the stock on the receiver at a 45 degree angle, looking into the action!

We called cold range, I removed the shell, and took the broken gun to the rack to inspect it, the bolt that holds the stock to the gun had sheared off at the screw hole in the receiver, the rest of the stock was fine, a new bolt should fix the gun and get it back to the range quickly

In the interim, one of my fellow shooters used that opportunity to let me try his trap gun, I didn't get the name, but it was nice, fully adjustible stock, it was schweet, and I was dead-on with it, hit all the remaining birds with it, very nice gun!

Thankfully, I brought along Dad's H&R 12 gauge single shot that he got for $35, and I did pretty well with that one as well, 100% reliable, and nonexistent recoil with WinLite shells

I was happy with the shootin' performance of the .410, and once fixed, will continue to shoot trap with it, and I'm in the market for a nice used NEF 20 gauge now (SM, it's your fault ;). )
