Regarding Michigan: The 'Michigan Pistol' class of long gun expired January 2013. Any long guns registered as pistols were grandfathered under the new law, and can still be transported loaded with a CPL. You can't, and never could, conceal a "Michigan Pistol" long gun.
To be classified as a pistol under Michigan state law, the OAL must not exceed 26". An "other firearm" cannot be carried concealed with a CPL, but is otherwise legal to own. Transport, unless grandfathered in under the old expired law, is cased and unloaded and out of the drivers reach.

AOW's are not legal to carry concealed, AFAIK, since they are not considered pistols by either federal or state definition. Same goes for other NFA weapons less than 26" OAL.

Michigan does not have a weight limit on firearms.
