INTRODUCTION.
Hi Sportsfans!
All of the ‘Maybe Drool’ posts are of the start of my collecting efforts. All of the photos are by Arcticap who has been meticulous and careful of handling and inspecting the shipments on my behalf (notice the gloves he uses in the images). I could not have wished for a better ‘agent’ and he is a credit to the integrity and interest so many of these forum users employ – Thanks Mate – I will shout you a Kangaroo (if you can get it through quarantine) I also have 8’ of red bellied black snake if reptiles turn you on – but they are extremely venomous and are prohibited exports anyway – endangered species because Aussies kill so many but there are dozens around my place!
OK to the guns. There will be four posts of four limited edition cased sets. All of these are United States Historical Society commemoratives. All are NIB, unfired and have full documentation. All are #9 in their limited edition authenticity deeds.
William (Buffalo Bill) Cody Colt 1860 Commemorative.
This is a large cased set with accessories. The bonded ‘faux ivory’ powder flask is just about unique. The original set was to have these standard but the production run did not come up to par. The person who had this gun on order complained and the Society released one of the withheld prototypes to go with the set – along with full explanation documentation (that is remarkably candid). So take a look I will put up a pic of the entire set with accessories when I have managed to download it myself:
Point to note is that this 1860 has been cut and equipped for a shoulder stock which is not part of the cased accessories. Do not think that I can afford to have one made to fit something like this!

My admiration to Articap as capturing gold engraving is very difficult to do by camera.
