So I just ordered my sample packs from Missouri Bullet Company (Huge thank you for the THR Discount!). Im looking to switch all my revolvers over to lead bullets.

For my .357, I decided to try the 158 gn .357 Action and their 140 gn .357 Zinger.

I am looking to push both these bullets to magnum velocities and see which one performs better out of my 6" 586. However I do not see much data of the 140 gn flavor. Any members out there with experience pushing this bullet with 4227 or 296/110?

Mike, I'm not a fan of H110/W296 under cast bullets but of course it can be done. IMO 4227 is on the slow side for the .357 Magnum. I know, not good news but it's my experience that HS-6 works very well in the .357 Magnum and cast bullets as does 2400.

I have not tried MBC 140gr bullets but the 158gr bullets shoot well in my .357 Magnum revolvers.

I have used WW 296 with great success under hard cast and gas check bullets in .357 with magnum loads. Usually max velocity and accuracy comes somewhere near 100% loading density. WW 296 works best with heavier bullets. I consider 140 gr. to be the lower limit. I have had excellent results with a Keith designed SWC of 176 gr. and an RCBS gas check design at 192 gr.

I have shot a bunch of 140 Zingers and liked them ok. Less recoil than 158s but not as clean a hole in the target. Not much data for 140 lead out there.
I just used 158 lead and worked up but that won't help using Maganum powders that should not be down loaded.

Really happy with MBC, great product, great people.

I have had a box of Zingers on my bench for a couple of years and have yet to load them. I don't really know what "fast action" is intended to mean. When I think fast action, I think of wanting low recoil, soft loads for quick follow up. However, when I see people talking about them, they seem to be wanting to push the velocity into jacketed territory.

They show this foir the 9mm Mak bullets
Makarov
.365 Diameter
9mm Makarov
93 Grain RN
Brinell 18
For Spetznaz Ops

I like them but I am not doing any Spetnaz ops....:)

I liked the 140s and would buy them instead of the 158s if they were SWCs.
Just don't want to give up the cleaner holes.
