There were I few threads going on this so I am attempting to consolidate here.

I just got off the phone with the House and Senate Judiciary Committees. There have been no votes in committee on SB 137 and HB 859 (CCW) or SB 288 and HB 1298 (AWB).

The link below provides information on both commitees.

It is still possible to call or send e-mail to everyone of the committee members in both houses and give your position on these bills. If you have not contacted each member yet please do! If you have contected them, try and call again if you can find the time. Let them know how important this is! We want to get CCW to the floor and kill AWB in committee.

Thanks!

I've sent them so many emails and letters that most don't bother to respond anymore.
At first I got the usual replies: "Thank you for your comments. I will be sure to evaluate all information regarding this issue before voting"

Then: "Thank you for your emails, phone calls and letters. Your opinions are noted."

Now....nothing.

hehehe....I suppose it IS time for another round.

CCW & AWB

Rifraff: Pls excuse my ignorance, but what CCW laws or revisions are
going to be voted on? As you know, MD CCW program is a bad joke,
so I haven't kept up with any proposed changes - didn't know there
were any. I live in Silver Spring and would love to have a CCW, but don't
have a business and can't prove threats, so I basically don't qualify under
the present rules. Pls advise re changes, when you can. Thanks!
