Medics/Pepper Spray? PA law?

My cheif gave me crap after catching me with pepper spray clipped to my belt when i came in because driver and crew were needed for a second emergency. He said i wasn't allowed to carry it because they could loose their licence.

Now, until he said something to me i didn't give it a thought. I carry pepper spray with me EVERWHERE. In this area you'd be crazy not to.

Anyway, was he just spouting off some misinformed crap he heared elsewhere or can ambulance personnel not carry pepper spray?

It probably differs from company to company, check your employee handbook or if you have one ask you HR person.

no, supposedly it's state law. I'd like to find out where it is.

If he is the one enforcing this "law" let him cite the section for you. It is not your job to prove that the law exists -- it is his.

exactly what i carry. I figure a pepper spray with a million dollar liability garauntee is safe enough to carry.
